Cosima was the judge's pick for the Wildcard show and as she went through the show the 26-year-old astounded us with her voice, and the length of her skirts! Unfortunately she pulled out just before the Grand Finale but is now fighting fit and hoping to get a record contract!

Cosima’s family are Italian and are from Brindisi and Sicily mainly. She is the oldest and has two younger siblings. Her family is described as exuberant, loving, and gregarious and Cosima thinks it has helped her become an outgoing and emotional girl who puts everything into her performances. Cosima reckons she can be very stubborn but she can also be honest and compassionate, which sorta balances things out.

Cosima enjoys to test out her Grandmothers traditional Italian recipes when she has time but unfortunately she doesn't have a knack for the age-old Italian art of making unreal coffee. She thinks she has destroyed more coffee percolators (by accident of course!) than most of us have had hot dinners. Because her family is Italian, every Sunday lunch is a traditional event where the entire extended family turn up and there’s a lot of singing, fun and exuberance and, of course, pasta. Her family is very supportive of her dreams and were right behind her on her Idol quest. Having already had a brush with American record labels, Cosima knows how the fickle the industry can be so she naturally she wants to put her best foot forward.

When Cosima was nine years old she heard Whitney Houston singing on the radio and became inspired to sing. Without telling her Mum she entered into a school talent quest and won it! Because of her success she had singing lessons for five years and, quite simply, lives to sing. She can't imagine doing anything else!

In 2001, Cosima was fortunate and lucky enough to be asked to record a demo in Nashville which she describes as whirlwind experience. Cosima’s grandfather is a tenor and she believes this is where her talent comes from. Although she mainly sings ballad she still loves to powerful melody with a pop spin. Her favourite artists include Celine Dion, Gloria Estefan, Whitney Houston, Anastacia and Shania Twain.

She's a bit of a smarty pants and she holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree, majoring in finance and banking from University but there's no way she wants an office job! She loves growing her own veggies saying “It’s just awesome watching something grow.” She is very much an outdoors girl and is a renovating and lifestyle queen. She has to be one of the only people under the age of thirty who actually watched “Gardening Australia” - but she loves it.

To relax she des yoga and in summer swims at the beach in Perth. To stay fit, she does Tai Bo and often works out with her brother who is a master at black belt Karate.

During the semi-finals Cosima missed out of being voted in by the public but was invited back for the Wildcard show and was the judge's choice. She was very pleased to receive a second chance, saying that they don't always come so she had to grab it when it did! She did a fantastic job of performing each week, and constantly amazed at the length of her skirts or dresses, quite often she was unable to sit down!

Unfortunately during the 60's show, the show with the Final 3, Guy, Cosima and Shannon, Cosima made the surprise announcement that she had been forced to choose to withdrawal due to a temporary condition with her voice. She informed the crowd that after a few weeks rest she would be back to normal but did not feel her voice would be able to cope over the next few weeks.

Unfortunately she was unable to perform at the Grand Finale but fortunately she was back to being fighting fit by the time the Australian Idol Tour came around and was able to participate to the best of ability, and did she rock!
