Guy's first single, 'Angels Brought Me Here' was number one on the charts the day it was released and stayed there for about 4 weeks before dropping lower until it was completely off.

Track Listing

1. Angels Brought Me Here

2. When I Get You Alone (live from the UCP show)

Angels Bought Me Here has become one of Guy's trademark songs. It was the first single that he released and was written especially for the winner of Australian Idol, so no matter who won, it would be theirs.

The response that Guy received was huge, and actually re-wrote the history books! It went straight to the top of the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) national singles chart with over 210, 000 copies being shipped to record stores all over Australia it was triple platinum at the time of release. After being in stores for just one single week 128,000 copes had been sold (according to ARIAnet data) which made it the fastest selling Australian single in ARIAnet Chart history and the second highest first week singles sales ever the first being Elton John’s Princess Diana tribute Candle in The Wind. It is also the highest first week singles sales for a debut artist in Australia.

What Guy said of the song before he won - "Whoever wins, we're just gonna go 'sucked in, you gotta sing that everywhere you go!"

And he has! He sang it at the Celebrate! Australia Day Live Concert, he sang it on the Australian Idol Tour and he sang it at the 2004 Scout Jamboree just to name a few places! But hey, we love it anyway particularly since he's jazzed it up a bit and had a fiddle with the tune, in typical Guy style!!
