'Guy & Jules...Together
Again!'

They split up, but she remained his best friend...now they're back as a couple!
After publicly declaring his celibacy in front of the nation, singer Guy
Sebastian has realised 'All I Need Is You' and reunited with his first love
Julie Egan.
Guy and Adelaide-based Julie managed to keep their renewed love under wraps
until last week at a Sydney function, where he dedicated his performance of
Frank Sinatra's 'The Way You Look Tonight' to Julie, standing quietly in the
crowd.
'They've been back together for quite a while now but were trying to keep it
quiet so they have the chance to make it work this time without too many prying
eyes," says one of Guy's pals.
"Essentially he's a very private guy - excuse the pun - and while he's happy for
people to enjoy his music, he just wants to shield Julie from any unwanted
attention. Let's say like is good for both of them right now."
"Jules" as the Australian Idol winner affectionately calls her, kept her "best
friend" status after the couple decided to break up n late 2002, ending a
two-and-a-half-year relationship.
It also temporarily halted a 10-year friendship that began with their families'
association with the Assemblies of God Paradise Community Church in Adelaide.
Last November the brown-eyed 24-year-old singer and musician told Woman's Day
that despite Guy, 22, being officially single, "We are best friends and we love
each other heaps. I still love him and he's always reassuring me he still loves
me, and everything's cool," Julie added. "We're a really big part of each
other's lives."
Julie, who also auditioned for the first series of 'Australian Idol', was Guy's
staunchest supporter as he made his rise to fame. She bolstered his spirits with
daily phone calls and text messages, and advised him to take risks, such as
singing the unlikely show-stopper 'Climb Ev'ry Mountain' and Beyonce's 'Crazy In
Love'.
She sneaked into Sydney semi-regularly during the 2003 competition, but they
found it difficult to spend "private time" without being besieged by fans. "We
went to see Prince in concert, but it wasn't 'private time' because everyone
wanted a piece of him," Julie said.
"But he remained himself, the same old Guy, and just seemed to take everything
in his stride."
Julie remembered how hard it was to make the decision to split.
"I broke it off," she admitted. "It was better for us to be apart, and break-ups
are always yucky."
She stayed in the background when the 'Australian Idol' finalists toured the
country to sell-out crowds earlier this year.
"Girls threw themselves at Guy all the time on the tour," recalls 'Idol' judge
Ian "Dicko" Dickson.
"When someone like Guy says they're a virgin, that only makes some women want
him more, [but] I can confirm that Guy stayed a virgin on that tour."
